    Abstract: A circuit arrangement for selecting a radioelectric signal from a number of signals receivable by a signal receiver equipped with a character display device to enable at least two selection modes of the radioelectric signal. The circuit arrangement has a controllable oscillator, the frequency of which is determined by a control loop depending on a binary number N supplied by a processing unit on the basis of code input data. The control loop has frequency dividing means providing a first signal from the controllable oscillator depending on the number N and the comparator for comparing the first signal with a second frequency reference signal to provide a third signal for the required tuning. A memory circuit has a number of cells for digital storage of data relevant to the signals being tuned into. The said number N can be supplied both in direct response to the coded input data or by calling up data from the memory circuit.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a television set which includes a picture display device, an alpha numerical character generating circuit connected to said device, a control device, means for determining analogue data relating to the operation of the set, such as volume, brightness and color, and means for displaying on said display device a combination of alpha numerical characters, supplied by said character generating device, indicating the values of said analogue data.A control keyboard has six keys "V+", "V-", "L+", "L-", "C+" and "C-". The output of the keyboard is connected to a processing unit which is connected via a digital to analogue converter and switch to an alpha numerical character generator which is connected to a picture display device. When one of the six keys is pressed a combination of signals proportional to the analogue signal level of volume, brightness and color (V, L, C) is displayed on the picture display device.

In this circuit, a first diode is connected parallel to the deflection circuit with such polarity as to be made conductive by the saw-tooth current during the first part of the trace interval, and the said deflection circuit is also connected parallel, by means of a second diode having such polarity as to be made conductive by the saw-tooth current during a second part of the trace interval, to a controllable switch, which is made conductive during part of the trace interval.

    Abstract: An image display device comprising a plurality of elements which can be made luminous is described. The elements are arranged in a matrix formed by rows and columns, and each column of the matrix is piloted by as many outputs of a delay line of the charge displacement type, fed by a video signal representative, for lines, of the image to be reproduced and by a clock signal. The main feature of the device is that the delay of the line is substantially equal to the effective duration of information in one line of the video signal, and that there are provided means for interrupting the passage of the clock signal to the delay line during a substantial period of time within the line blanking interval of the video signal, so that during the said period the status of the charges in the delay line remains unchanged, and said status is utilized to render luminous a row of the elements.

    Abstract: A circuit for providing a saw-tooth current in a coil is described. The circuit comprises a trace condenser and a retrace condenser which form together with the coil a resonant circuit during the retrace interval, a diode connected parallel to the retrace condenser, a controllable switch connected to a supply source through an inductor and to the retrace condenser through a second diode.The main feature of this circuit is to comprise a condenser connected on one hand towards the controllable switch and the first inductor and, on the other hand, to a circuit comprising a second inductor and, through a third diode, towards the retrace condenser. The condenser and the two inductors are sized in such a manner that when the controllable switch is not conductive, energy is supplied to the condenser and that successively, when the controllable switch is conductive, the condenser is completely discharged through the second inductor. The energy thus stored in the second inductor is then supplied to a storage device.

The circuit arrangement comprises a first, unidirectional conductivity device, disposed in parallel to a circuit branch comprising the deflection coil, and a second, controllable switching device, having a control electrode connected to a source of periodic pulses which render conductive the second device during a part of the period of the sawtooth. The main feature of the circuit arrangement is to comprise a resonant series circuit disposed in parallel to the second device; the second device and the resonant series circuit are connected to the deflection coil and to the first device at least through a third, unidirectional conductivity device.
