Patent number: 11064771Abstract: A connector system is formed from a female portion and a male portion that slides within the female portion. The female portion has a base body, a channel, and a protrusion extending into the channel. The male portion has a base body with a locking flange extending along one longitudinal edge thereof. The spring has an aperture for receiving the protrusion when the flange is inserted into the channel. There is an actuating device connected to the spring and configured for depressing the spring. The male portion is connected to the female portion by sliding the flange into the channel until the protrusion extends through the aperture in the spring. The male portion is released from the female portion by pulling the actuating device to depress the spring until the protrusion clears the aperture, and then sliding the male portion out of the channel.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2020Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: Duraflex Hong Kong LimitedInventor: Attilio Lovato

Patent number: 10485306Abstract: A closure system has a main body having a hollow cavity, a locking mechanism slidably disposed within the cavity, and a plurality of fastening elements. The locking mechanism is formed of a central post, a plurality of engagement pins connected to the central post, and an actuator, such that pulling the actuator causes the locking mechanism to move between a locked and unlocked position. Each fastening element has an aperture for connecting to the locking mechanism by inserting the fastening element into the cavity while the locking mechanism is in the unlocked position, and then pushing the actuator to slide the locking mechanism into the locked position. All of the fastening elements can then be released simultaneously from the locking mechanism by pulling the actuator to slide the locking mechanism from the locked position to the unlocked position.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2018Date of Patent: November 26, 2019Assignee: Duraflex Hong Kong LimitedInventor: Attilio Lovato

Patent number: 8220117Abstract: A buckle structure has a female part and a male part. The female part has a cavity for insertion of an axial tab formation of the male part, which has transverse seats on opposite lateral edges for engagement by fastening members on the female part. The fastening members have teeth located on opposite sides of a longitudinal direction of coupling of the buckle, which form between them a transverse aperture for the insertion of the tab formation. The buckle has button-like release members connected to the fastening members and operable manually by pressing transverse to the buckle, to disengage the fastening members from the seats. The fastening members and the release members act in coinciding or parallel transverse directions, so that the simultaneous pressing of the buttons towards each other causes the fastening teeth to move away from the engagement seats on the tab formation.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2007Date of Patent: July 17, 2012Assignee: National Molding Italia S.r.lInventor: Attilio Lovato

Publication number: 20120159744Abstract: A strap divider has a base plate with a exterior surface and an interior surface, a post mounted to the interior surface of the base plate and running parallel to the interior surface of the base plate, and a cover plate having an interior surface and an exterior surface, a front end and a rear end. The rear end of the cover plate has a post-receiving cavity that is adapted to snap onto the post to rotatably connect the base plate to the cover plate, with the interior surfaces of the base plate and cover plate facing each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2010Publication date: June 28, 2012Applicant: Duraflex Hong Kong LimitedInventor: Attilio Lovato

Patent number: 6360410Abstract: A strap buckle comprises a male element and a female element which can be snap-fitted together and each of which has means for the connection of a respective portion of strap. The connection means include a device for adjusting the tension of the respective portion of strap, the device comprising two crosspieces which extend between two cheeks of the respective buckle element and define two slots which can be engaged by the strap, for which they define a tortuous path. The adjustment device includes a catch which is articulated to the cheeks about an axis parallel to the crosspieces and which can adopt a clamping position in which it interferes with the strap, preventing the strap from sliding in the slots, or a release position in which it is spaced from the strap.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2000Date of Patent: March 26, 2002Assignee: National Molding Corp.Inventor: Attilio Lovato

Patent number: 6219889Abstract: An adjustable clasp comprises a retainer body having an elongate cavity within which slides a strap having saw teeth. The retainer body includes a main generally non-deformable body from which extends a flexible tongue provided with pawls projecting into the cavity to engage the teeth of the strap, and at least one resilient wing facing the flexible tongue and engagable under pressure to disengage the pawls from the teeth of the strap. The retainer body has guide members on the main portion and second guide members close to the opposite end of the main body, to maintain the strap close to the pawls. The second guide members include a contact portion extending from the resilient wing at its end opposite the main portion of the retainer body.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 1999Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Assignees: National Molding of Europe S.r.L., MET S.p.A.Inventors: Attilio Lovato, Filippo Perini

Patent number: 4699747Abstract: The method consists in simultaneously press-molding inside a single die a rectangular frame and a transverse movable cross-piece, which have a sliding relationship to each other to form a buckle with a sliding crossbar. Synthetic resins are simultaneously injected in different points into a die after having inserted in the die a sliding separation and coupling means to obtain the sliding coupling of the two piece of the buckle simultaneously with the molding of the same.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 1985Date of Patent: October 13, 1987Assignee: ITW Fastex Italia S.p.A.Inventor: Attilio Lovato

Patent number: 4569106Abstract: A buckle of the snap closure type consists of two identical parts, each of which has a male member and a female member. The male member of the one part is adapted to engage by snap action the female member of the other part. The fact that the two parts forming the buckle are identical substantially simplifies both the manufacturing of said parts and their storage.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 1985Date of Patent: February 11, 1986Assignee: ITW Fastex Italia S.p.A.Inventor: Attilio Lovato
