  • Publication number: 20250020565
Abstract: The present invention relates to a permeation test cell for permeation testing of materials against chemicals. The permeation test cell comprises an upper body provided with first vents and a lower body provided with second vents, for passing a first and a second gaseous stream. A perforated Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) grid on the sample support plate is placed underneath the test sample to allow passage of the contaminant to the sorbent tube. A test sample with a contaminant is disposed in the permeation test cell. The second vent is configured to be attached to a sorbent tube for accumulation of contaminant permeating through the test sample. The permeation test cell is configured to receive a weight on the test sample for forcing permeation of the contaminant through the test sample.

  • Publication number: 20250012700
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for penetration testing of protective clothing against fluids. The apparatus comprises a test specimen holding fixture to support the test specimen, and a fluid dispersing device for dispersing a stream of pre-defined amount of the test fluid to a targeted area of the test specimen, at a constant rate. The fluid dispersing device comprises a syringe having a plunger and a needle, and a syringe actuator for applying pressure to the plunger to enable ejection of the test fluid accommodated within the syringe, through the needle, to the targeted area of the test specimen.

  • Publication number: 20240365916
Abstract: A high ankle combat boot has multilayered constructions in upper and sole and has a protective function against toxic chemical agents, especially chemical warfare agents. An outer layer in the multilayered upper, away from the foot when the boot is worn, and an inner layer, faces towards the boot. An adsorption layer based on adsorbent material, especially activated carbon spheres, which absorbs toxic chemical agents, especially chemical warfare agents is arranged between the outer layer and the inner layer of the upper. An outsole in the multilayered sole, away from the foot, and an insock, faces towards the foot. An insole based on multilayered aramid cloth, which resists the puncture through the sole when stepping over sharp objects, to prevent infiltration of toxic chemical agents, especially chemical warfare agents, is arranged between the insock and outsole. Efficient protection and a high degree of comfort are achieved.
