  • Patent number: 11459927
Abstract: An exhaust component assembly for a vehicle exhaust system includes a housing defining an internal cavity configured to receive an exhaust gas after-treatment component. A first chamber is in fluid communication with the internal cavity upstream of the exhaust gas after-treatment component. A first nozzle introduces fluid into the first chamber and a first valve controls flow of the fluid from the first chamber into the internal cavity. A heat source is associated with the first nozzle or first chamber. A second chamber is in fluid communication with the internal cavity upstream of the exhaust gas after-treatment component, and the second chamber is a non-heated chamber. A second nozzle introduces fluid into the second chamber and a second valve controls flow of the fluid from the second chamber into the internal cavity. A controller controls the first and second valves based on at least one predetermined operating condition.

  • Patent number: 11255243
Abstract: An injection assembly for a vehicle exhaust system includes a housing defining a fluid cavity, a doser mounted to the housing and configured to inject a fluid into the fluid cavity, and a valve to control flow of the fluid. The valve is moveable between an open position and a closed position. A resilient member is configured with a biasing force to bias the valve to the closed position. The biasing force is overcome when fluid is heated downstream of the valve and exceeds a predetermined pressure level to allow backflow into the fluid cavity.

  • Patent number: 8720423
Abstract: An article of manufacture includes a first rotor having a first flow-through area that is more than 50% of a total first rotor flow area and a first ridged arc member, and a second rotor having a second flow-through area that is more than 50% of a total second rotor flow area and a second ridged arc member. The article further includes an upstream stator and a downstream stator, each stator having a co-extensive stator flow-through area and a co-extensive structural area. The article includes an actuator having an engagement gear between the ridged arc members, where a turn of the engagement gear moves the ridged arc members in opposing directions. The first rotor and second rotor are phased to be at a maximum closed at a first position of the engagement gear and a maximum open at a second position of the engagement gear.

  • Publication number: 20070226051
Abstract: A beginning to end method of distributing marketing promotions to consumers through mobile devices is disclosed. Sellers of goods or services set criteria for the selection of consumers eligible to receive coupons or other promotional material. Consumers who request product information are sent mobile messages that contain personalized promotions matched to the consumer's preferences and the seller's distribution criteria. The consumer's request, receipt, use, redemption, and settlement of promotional instruments is monitored and facilitated to allow rapid calculation of the seller's return on investment and payment for each completed transaction.

  • Patent number: 6647428
Abstract: An architecture for transport of multiple services in connectionless packet-based networks is described herein, along with the packet format used for data transport in this architecture. The architecture supports transport of both connectionless packetized data and framed data from synchronous leased lines. The architecture supports transparent packetization of incoming DS1 data. The architecture works for mesh architectures but is optimized for OSI Layer 1 (crossconnect) and Layer 2 (Virtual LAN, or VLAN) services and for ring topologies, since for these services in a ring no path setup is required using a label distribution protocol. In addition, it simultaneously supports OSI Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 services.
