Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and methods are presented for generation and manipulation of predictive models within a user interface. The system and methods receive a view query with object data and time data and generate a user interface having a first graphical representation of a set of historical data responsive to the view query. The systems and methods generate a predictive model based on the set of historical data and generate a second graphical representation for the predictive model. The systems and methods generate and monitor a movable pivot element to automatically modify the predictive model and second graphical representation upon a change in position of the pivot element.

Abstract: A system and method for using business services within a customer relationship management (CRM) application. Business services are objects that encapsulate and simplify the use of some set of functionality. The CRM application includes an object manager that manages business objects as well as business services. Business objects are associated with data stored in the application database. Business services operate or act upon business objects to achieve a particular goal. Business services include methods that can be invoked and properties that maintain information about the state of a process during execution.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a system for preserving user interface customizations while upgrading an enterprise application is provided. The system preserves customizations by identifying customizations made to user interface (“UI”) objects of an enterprise application, and enabling these UI customizations to function with a newer version of the enterprise application. The system transforms UI customizations so that the transformed UI customizations function with a new UI model. By enabling a portion of an enterprise application to be upgraded while preserving UI customizations, the system dramatically reduces the time and cost incurred by companies when they upgrade enterprise software.

Controls of the applet can be modified according to the requirements of the Cartesian coordinate-based view. The views are used as user interfaces.

Abstract: In a method and system for creating an extensible media player, a media player application is instantiated on a client system. The media player application receives a data presentation file from a server. The data presentation file includes a playlist of media files and modules associated with each of the media files. The data presentation file is parsed and an instance of the playlist is created. The playlist instance may include playlist items corresponding to the media files of the playlist. Each playlist item may have an associated presentation instance governing presentation aspects of the playlist item. When a playlist item is selected for playback, the corresponding media file is transmitted to the client system. The media file and modules associated with the presentation instance for the playlist item are loaded by the instantiated media player. Once loaded, pre-timeline modules are executed prior to the playing of the selected media file.
