  • Patent number: 11997333
Abstract: A processing device receives set-top box data, sales data, and advertising data. The processing device associates set-top boxes from the set-top box data with viewers and calculates advertising exposure events for advertisements. The processing device further calculates, for each viewer, an advertising weight as a function of number of exposures of the advertisement as applied to the viewer based on the advertising exposure events. The processing device further calculates, for each viewer, a score representing a degree-of-targetedness between an advertisement campaign and the viewer. The processing device manages the advertisement campaign based on the advertising weight and the degree-of-targetedness.

The PV system utilizes a control mode handoff control method, which includes determining that a local maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control is enabled; in response to determining that the local MPPT control is enabled, starting an MPPT mode timer; performing local MPPT; determining that the MPPT mode timer is greater than a predetermined period; and, in response to determining that the MPPT mode timer is greater than a predetermined period, handing off MPPT control to the next MPPT controller. The distributed MPPT control method may include sequential MPPT control, adaptive ?V MPPT control, and/or power limiting control. The fixed bus system includes PV string-level MPPT controllers and a fixed DC input central inverter or multiple fixed DC modular inverters.

  • Publication number: 20240143994
Abstract: Machine learning is used to predict a pleasantness of a sound emitted from a device. A plurality of pleasantness ratings from human jurors are received, each pleasantness rating corresponding to a respective one of a plurality of sounds emitted by one or more devices. A microphone system detects a plurality of measurable sound qualities (e.g., loudness, tonality, sharpness, etc.) of these rated sounds. A regression prediction model is trained based on the jury pleasantness ratings and the corresponding measurable sound qualities. Then, the microphone system detects measurable sound qualities of an unrated sound that has not been rated by the jury. The trained regression prediction model is executed on the measurable sound quality of the unrated sound to yield a predicted pleasantness of the unrated sound.

  • Publication number: 20240144954
Abstract: Machine learning is used to classify a pleasantness of a sound emitted from a device. A plurality of pleasantness ratings from human jurors are received, each pleasantness rating corresponding to a respective one of a plurality of sounds emitted by one or more devices. Differences between each pleasantness rating and each of the other pleasantness ratings is determined via pairwise comparisons. These differences are converted into binary values based on which pleasantness rating is higher or lower in each comparison. Measurable sound qualities are received associated with the sounds. Second differences between each of the measurable sound qualities and every other of the plurality of measured sound qualities is determined in pairwise fashion. A classification model is trained to classify sound pleasantness by comparing the binary values with the second differences.

  • Publication number: 20240137931
Abstract: A method for an access point to schedule obtaining frames from stations connected thereto is provided. Real-time applications provide frames and frame due dates to the stations. The frames and their due dates are stored in respective buffers of the stations. Each station identifies the earliest due date of all its buffered frames and provides the earliest due date to the access point. The access point orders the due dates and schedules the stations according to the order of the due dates. The access point then communicates with the stations according to the schedule and obtains the frames. A WLAN system implementing the method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11968795
Abstract: The present document describes an electronic device with a structural midframe and associated methods. The architectural design of the electronic device (e.g., a security camera) is such that its components are assembled onto the midframe to form a subassembly and the housing is assembled after the subassembly. The midframe includes various features that enable multiple printed circuit boards, a camera subassembly, a front housing member, a heatsink, and a heat spreader to be assembled onto the midframe outside of the housing. The midframe can also include a hinge-bearing surface forming a portion of a ball joint for supporting rotational movement of the electronic device. Accordingly, the electronic device uses the midframe, rather than the housing, as a structural member.
