  • Patent number: 7286096
Abstract: Integrating dual antennae into a single rigid assembly guarantees parallel alignment between the antennae and provides higher isolation with lower insertion loss than duplexing methods can achieve through a single antenna. The resulting higher performance at lower cost can benefit two-way communication systems using time division duplexing, frequency division duplexing, or polarization division duplexing; or combinations of these methods.

Date of Patent: October 23, 2007
    Assignee: RadioLink Networks, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20050167612
Abstract: The combination of an infrared phosphor fluorescing at wavelengths between 8 ?m and 13 ?m with a wavelength-selective cold mirror glazing transparent to the fluoresced radiation can create a device capable of providing passive radiative cooling in tropical heat and humidity in locations with an unobstructed view of sky. The concentration of thermal radiative energy into the narrow band radiated by the phosphor, and the reflection of infrared radiation outside that band, provides more net cooling through saturation humidity at 37° C. than does a black-body or conventional selective radiator.

  • Patent number: 4727596
Abstract: A high performance, double-balanced mixer comprising a novel transformer and a pair of variable conductance semiconductor devices connected thereto which provides an output signal being the product of two input signals. Two transformer windings each include a center tap which together form one port of the mixer. Each variable conductance devices provides a selected conductivity path across the end of one of the center tapped windings to the beginning of the other center tapped winding. A second port signal provided oppositely modulates the variable conductance devices to provide a decrease in conductivity across one path while increasing the conductivity of the other path. The third winding of the transformer provides a third port to the mixer. A singularly-balanced mixer embodiment is shown. The mixer according to the present invention is operable to provide vastly improved linearity for either of two inputs as well as low noise and wide bandwidth operation.
