  • Publication number: 20220151962
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel inhibitors of histone deacetylase 10 (HDAC10), novel pharmaceutical compositions comprising such inhibitors, and to novel methods of treating diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune disorders or neurodegeneration, using such novel inhibitors or methods of using such novel inhibitors in organ transplantation.

  • Publication number: 20210401956
Abstract: The invention is based on a platform for vaccination and/or antibody generation. The invention is based on the display of small molecular immunogenic compounds on the coat of variant surface glycoproteins (VSG) on trypanosomes which results in a highly effective immune response when used as a vaccine or in immunization for antibody production. The herein disclosed antigenic particles are applicable for producing antibodies or can be directly used as vaccines for the treatment of various medical conditions. Most preferably the invention relates to the VSG based vaccines specific for dependency causing substances for the treatment of addiction or avoidance of adverse events during drug abuse. Other applications include methods and uses involving the disclosed compounds and compositions for a treatment or prevention of cancer, infectious disease, contagious neurodegenerative diseases, non-communicable disorders (e.g.

  • Patent number: 10953099
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel class of dithiocarbamate-metal complexes and their uses in medicine. Also provided by the invention are combinations and pharmaceutical compositions, comprising a dithiocarbamate (or thiuram disulphide) such as disulfiram and cyclodextrin, with a source of a heavy metal. Surprisingly, the inventors found a synergistic potentiation of the anti-tumor effect, when a dithiocarbamate/heavy metal mixture was combined with a cyclodextrin. The compounds and combination of the invention are particularly useful in the treatment of tumor diseases, and other disorders. Provided are the compounds, combination, pharmaceutical compositions and kits, as well as methods for the preparation of the combinations of the invention.
