Abstract: A preview station for previewing microscope slides where each slide has one or more specimens thereon, the preview station having a tray holder supporting a slide tray with a plurality of slides thereon. A digital camera and lens is located on an optical axis relative to the slide tray and a light source illuminates the slide tray. The camera is activated to image each slide in the slide tray and has a memory to store and transmit data from each slide. The preview station can be used in combination with a scanning system and can be made part of a scanning system.

Abstract: A method of generating a tree hierarchy display of error logs received from network devices and applications, each of the logs including a brief description of error cause and predetermined higher level ones of the logs being created in response to generation of predetermined combinations of lower level ones of the logs in accordance with user defined rule set criteria. The method comprises the steps of generating a user interface for entering explanations associated with predetermined ones of the error logs, storing the lower level ones of the logs used in meeting the rule set criteria, and displaying a tree hierarchy of the logs for any fully satisfied rule set criteria by attaching links between the logs in relation to the rule set criteria.

Abstract: A network administration system for an ad-hoc or ‘sporatic’ network where all logs are received and sent through a MILog agent at each network device. The MILog agents route and filter logs accordingly to instructions received via Mobile Interactive Logs (MILogs), and further provide other services such as creating MILogs. A user is able to create and dispatch a MILog at any time to any MILog-compliant component from a MILog agent authorized to create MILogs.
