Abstract: An anti-theft device to prevent the unauthorized removal of a mounted, flanged object comprising a cover overlying the mounting flanges of the object, a securing device for attaching the cover to the surface upon which the flanged object is mounted and a locking device for preventing removal of the cover from the securing device. The invention is particularly useful in remote oil field and other field uses to prevent theft of industrial machine accessories such as starters, generators, and batteries.
