Publication number: 20250122748Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improved gate latch for holding a gate locked with a fence. A striker component is adapted inside an elongated housing. The striker component has a first rod and a second rod, each passing through a spiral coil. A ring-shaped structure is also provided at one end of the second rod. Further, an engagement assembly is provided that has a lock cylinder and a retainer. The lock cylinder is operated using a key to move the retainer in and out of the ring-shaped structure. The retainer is received by the ring-shaped structure when the gate latch is in a locked position. A spring mechanism provided with the lock cylinder that allows the key to always come back to its lock position without getting stuck in any other position.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2023Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventor: AUDRIUS MACERNIS

Publication number: 20180016830Abstract: A hydraulic hinge disclosed here is attached to a gate to prevent an impact due to a quick opening and quick closing of the gate. The hydraulic hinge comprises a first hinge member and second hinge member, and a hydraulic damper. The first hinge member is defined by a cylindrical body comprising a longitudinal axis about which the second hinge member is rotatable to rotate the hydraulic hinge between an open position and a closed position. The hydraulic damper is positioned within a cavity of the cylindrical body, and comprises a shaft positioned within a housing, and a hydraulic fluid filled in a space defined between the shaft and the housing. The hydraulic damper is in communication with the second hinge member, to provide resistance against slamming of the gate when the shaft is internally rotated through the hydraulic fluid during a quick opening and quick closing of the gate.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2016Publication date: January 18, 2018Inventor: Audrius Macernis

Patent number: 9523219Abstract: Disclosed is a self-latching gate latch device. The device comprises a latch and a magnet bar housing assembly wherein, the latch assembly comprises a horizontal latch bar that is horizontally movable between a forward latch bar engagement position and a backward default latch bar disengagement position and wherein, the magnet assembly comprises a magnet bar that is vertically movable between a default downward magnet bar engagement position and an upward magnet bar disengagement position. The bottom end of the magnet bar is secured with a magnet. When the magnet bar is in the default position thereof, the attraction force between the magnet and the latch bar causes the latch bar to move to the latch bar engagement position at which point, the latch bar engages the magnet assembly.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2014Date of Patent: December 20, 2016Inventor: Audrius Macernis
