  • Patent number: 6663166
Abstract: A body for a motor vehicle and a method of making same. The body includes a pair of side doors which are each provided with a reinforcing longitudinal frame part. The body includes an energy absorbing frame structure having cross members, forward, central and rearward side members, and a pair of A-columns and B-columns. First and second transmission devices are operatively arranged between the longitudinal frame part of each door and a respective A-column and B-column to achieve a closure between the door and the frame structure. The first and second transmission devices interact with the support structure to absorb and transmit forces acting upon the frame structure at least in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6659553
Abstract: A seat for automotive vehicles, airplanes or the like has a seat part and a backrest part. Seat part supports are arranged on both sides of a longitudinal center plane of the seat on longitudinal sides of the seat part. Backrest part supports are arranged on the longitudinal sides of the backrest part. The seat part supports and the backrest part supports provide the passenger using the seat with a lateral support. For optimizing the seat with respect to comfort and support for the passenger using it, the seat part supports as well as the backrest part supports are constructed in an adjustable manner.

  • Patent number: 4984818
Abstract: The wheel suspension for motor vehicles comprises at least one wheel guiding element which is below a wheel drive shaft and is connected with a coil spring held separately from a shock absorber. The coil spring is pivoted at the wheel guiding link by means of an interposed guiding element and is guided by means of an auxiliary control arm. The guiding element comprises a spring plate disposed above the drive shaft, the projected surface of which intersects with the adjacently extending drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 4834417
Abstract: A wheel suspension for a motor vehicle, especially with four-wheel drive and at least one guide member which underneath an axle drive shaft is pivotally supported on the side of the body and connected with a wheel carrier. A spring leg is arranged between the guide member and the vehicle body which is extended laterally past the drive shaft by means of a connecting element adjoining the spring leg cylinder and is pivotally connected with the lower guide member in a bearing support. The connecting element of the spring leg includes a groove-shaped recess extending transversely with respect to the drive shaft, in which the drive shaft is arranged immersing with a longitudinal section and having a spacing for movement. This offers the advantage that the drive shaft can be easily installed without having to disconnect the spring leg from the drive member.
