  • Patent number: 11940563
Abstract: A sensor is provided comprising at least one transmitter for transmitting a transmission signal; at least one receiver for generating a received signal from the transmitted signal reflected back by the objects; a base unit; a scanning unit movable about an axis of rotation with respect to the base unit for a periodic scanning of the monitored zone; and a control and evaluation unit for detecting information on the objects with reference to the received signal, wherein an inductive energy transmission unit is provided between the base unit and the scanning unit that comprises a first guide element of the base unit and a second guide element of the scanning unit for guiding the magnetic field of the inductive energy transmission; and wherein the guide elements have an L-shaped cross-section. In this respect, the guide elements are divided into at least two respective guide segments in the peripheral direction.

  • Publication number: 20240061081
Abstract: To achieve improved heat transfer of an optoelectronic sensor to its environment, the optoelectronic sensor comprises a rotating optical unit with at least one light transmitter for emitting light beams, at least one light receiver for receiving light remitted by objects in the monitored area, and associated electronics for controlling the optical unit, a drive unit for rotating the optical unit, a housing for enclosing at least the optical unit, the housing having at least one window region which transmits transmitted light beams and received light, and heat exchange elements provided on the outside of the optical unit and arranged in such a way that the heat exchange elements rotate with the optical unit and flat sides of the heat exchange elements lie at a defined distance from an inner side of the housing in order to provide convective heat exchange with the housing.

  • Publication number: 20220317296
Abstract: An optoelectronic sensor, in particular a laser scanner, for detecting objects in a monitored zone is provided, wherein the sensor has a light transmitter for transmitting transmitted light; a drive having a stator and a rotor; a scanning unit movable with the aid of the rotor for the periodic scanning of the monitored zone by the transmitted light; a light receiver for generating a received signal from light remitted by objects in the monitored zone; a control and evaluation unit for detecting information on objects in the monitored zone with reference to the received signal; and a base housing having a hood. The base housing and the hood have at least one interface for a mechanical connection to one another and the hood comprises at least one first bearing for mounting the scanning unit, with the scanning unit being rotatably supported with the rotor in the first bearing.

• Patent number: 4343143
Abstract: A binding for bundles of fibers in which fibers originating from at least one of the fiber bundles wind around the rest of the fibers in a manner locked by tension. Fiber bundles which are to be bound are deformed between deformation members and fibers are removed from at least one of the fiber bundles and are wound in a manner locked by tension around the remainder of the remaining pieces of fibers to be bound. Deformation members are positioned very close to each other, each having a profiled surface, and they can be driven in opposite directions with respect to each other. The fiber bundles which are to be bound are deformed in the gap between the deformation members.

  • Patent number: 4341065
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and an apparatus for avoiding untwisting during the formation of a binding of two fiber bundles. The rotational direction of deformation members acting on the fiber bundles is selected to be different in different groups of deformation members in order to reproduce or to increase the original twist during the binding operation.

  • Patent number: 4341066
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for binding fiber bundles which reduces an abrupt cross-sectional course at each end of the fiber bundle resulting from the loose ends of the bundles having been removed. The loose ends are, during the binding operation, severed in a fraying manner by abrasive edges and the frayed bound ends are worked into the resulting binding.
