  • Patent number: 10814442
Abstract: A nut torqueing device for a recessed nut is disclosed. The nut torqueing device includes a nut engaging assembly to engage a nut in a recess. The nut engaging assembly includes: a nut engaging element to engage the nut in the recess, at least one stackable riser element to stackably connect to one of the nut engaging element and an adjacent stackable riser element therebelow, and a transmission engaging element to stackably connect to an uppermost one of the at least one stackable riser element. A ratchet interface within the nut engaging assembly allows rotation of the nut engaging element in only one direction, while other stackable elements rotationally interlock. A low profile transmission extends within a small space to transmit rotational power to the nut engaging assembly. The nut torqueing device is applicable with a terminal nut of an electric generator.

  • Publication number: 20180231500
Abstract: An inspection system for a cylindrical member includes at least one retention member positionable about at least a portion of a circumference of the cylindrical member. The inspection system also includes a positioning system and at least one housing. The at least one housing is coupleable to the at least one retention member at each of a series of circumferential inspection locations. The at least one housing includes at least one probe. The positioning system cooperates with the at least one retention member to position the at least one probe at each of the circumferential locations. The at least one probe is configured to send and receive a signal through an interior of the cylindrical member.

  • Patent number: 10038356
Abstract: A generator rotor refurbishing system includes a cutting tool configured to cut generator rotor bars. The cutting tool includes a guide track configured and disposed to be fixedly mounted relative to a generator rotor and a cutting head block moveably mounted relative to the guide track. The cutting tool is configured and disposed to produce a fixed depth cut through a generator rotor bar. A cleaning system is configured for substantially simultaneously cleaning first and second opposing surfaces and first and second opposing edges of the generator rotor bar. The cleaning system includes a guide member and a cleaning assembly moveably mounted to the guide member. The cleaning assembly includes a plurality of cleaning members arranged to clean each of first and second opposing surfaces and first and second opposing edges of the generator rotor bar.
