The input device providing a bench surface, a desired cross slope, a desired mainfall slope, and a desired depth. The global positioning system configured to provide a chassis heading signal, a chassis inclination signal indicative of a main fall angle, and a chassis roll signal indicative of a cross slope angle. The sensor configured to provide a blade inclination signal and a blade roll signal. The controller configured to receive the signals, determine a distance error, and send a command to move the implement toward the desired mainfall slope and cross slope based on the distance error and towards the desired depth.

  • Publication number: 20240068205
Abstract: A display system and method for a work machine having grade control is disclosed. The display includes a frame, an attachment coupled to the frame, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor is configured to generate a first sensor signal indicative of a frame angle relative to a direction of gravity. The second sensor is configured to generate a second sensor signal indicative of an attachment angle relative to one of the frame and the direction of gravity. The program instructions cause a processor on the controller to receive a first sensor signal, a second sensor signal, and a target grade input; determine a cross slope and a mainfall, and control a display device to display a singular graphic of the position of the attachment relative to the target grade.

  • Patent number: 11751687
Abstract: A system for automated equipment cabinet leveling may include a foot leveling device for each foot of an equipment cabinet, each foot leveling device comprising a drive gear and a worm gear; a motor for each foot leveling device, each motor driving the worm gear of one of the foot leveling devices; a controller controlling the operation of each motor; and a sensor positioned on a portion of the equipment cabinet to be leveled that detects an orientation of the equipment cabinet and provides orientation data to the controller. The foot leveling device may interface with a foot shaft of the cabinet foot by a drive shaft driven by the drive gear, and the controller may drive at least one of motors to level the surface of the equipment cabinet based on the orientation data by extending or retracting at least one of the cabinet feet.

  • Patent number: 9689970
Abstract: Distance measurement methods and apparatus use laser pulse sets having signatures which enable returned pulses to be correlated with emitted pulses. Each pulse set comprises at least one pulse and a signature selected from a set of possible signatures. Pulse sets reflected from at least one surface are detected and, for each set, the signature is recognized and a time of flight is determined. Signatures are defined by one or more of: spacing in time between pulses of a set, wavelength of the at least one pulse of the set, spacing in time between a first subset of a set and a second subset of a set, difference of wavelength between pulses of a set, and difference of wavelength between a first subset of a set and a second subset of a set. Each set can have multiple groups of pulses and pulses within a group can have different amplitudes.

  • Patent number: 9666171
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a drum structural framework comprising a top shell mount, bottom shell mount, rod holders, and tension rods. The top shell mount and bottom shell mount are mounted to either ending edge of a drum shell disposed between the two mounts. A first set of the rod holders are coupled to the top shell mount and an aligned second set of the rod holders are coupled to the bottom shell mount. The tension rods link the two sets of rod holders without hindering resonance of the drum shell. Tuning assemblies on the rod holders adjust the distance separating the top shell mount from the bottom shell mount, thereby controlling the force imposed on the drum shell. Each rod holder includes one or more dampeners that isolate energy passing from the drumhead to the shell from also reverberating throughout the structural framework of the tension rods and rod holders.

  • Patent number: 9653053
Abstract: Provided are interchangeable bearing edge rings for drum shells assembled with traditional lug holders. Different bearing edge rings can be inserted in between the drum shell and the drumhead to change the sound of the drum during play. Some embodiments provide a modified drum shell with top and bottom rims that have a groove. Bearing edge rings with complimentary slits can be inset in the grooves in order to change the drum bearing edge and sound as desired. Alternatively, the bearing edge rings can have support extensions instead of the slits for coupling to unmodified drum shells. The support extensions extend downwards from either side of the ring and are separated by a distance equal to the width of the drum shell rim. The support extensions straddle the drum shell rim to retain the position of bearing edge ring over the drum shell rim.

  • Patent number: 9605955
Abstract: A distance measuring method includes: emitting a pulse of measuring light towards an object; receiving a pulse measuring light from the object and generating a pulse signal corresponding to the pulse of measuring light received from the object; delaying a first portion of the generated pulse signal for a predetermined time; generating an intensity signal indicative of an intensity of the generated pulse signal, while delaying the first portion of the generated pulse signal; amplifying the delayed first portion of the generated pulse signal using a gain dependent on the generated intensity signal; and determining a value representing a distance based on the amplified delayed first portion of the generated pulse signal.

  • Patent number: 9583082
Abstract: Some embodiments provide drum mounts for mounting a drum to supporting bracket arms, stands, or racks in a manner that does not impede drum shell resonance and that shields the drum mount and structure upon which the drum is mounted from absorbing the drum's vibrational energy during play. The drum mount is comprised of an inner mount plate, outer mount bar, and coupling assemblies. Each of the inner mount plate and outer mount bar couple to a drum shell or tension ring using the coupling assemblies. The coupling assemblies also couple the inner mount plate to the outer mount bar. The coupling assemblies include dampeners and endcaps with protrusions for minimizing surface area contact points from which energy can be transferred to the drum mount.
