  • Patent number: 11754206
Abstract: An end-form fitting includes a tube and an auxiliary component disposed around the tube. One of the tube and the auxiliary component is deformed to cause the auxiliary component to engage the tube in order to militate against relative movement between the tube and the auxiliary component. The auxiliary component includes an array of surface irregularities formed therein and configured to engage an outer circumferential surface of the tube to form a corrugated joint therebetween. The auxiliary component is formed to include a radially outwardly extending orientation structure for establishing a rotational orientation of the end-form fitting when being coupled to a complimentary end-form fitting.

  • Patent number: 11287069
Abstract: A method for connecting a hose with a tubular coupling with a pressure sleeve. The pressure sleeve is crimped at least at two sites separate from one another in the axial direction such that at least two crimp bands extending in the circumferential direction are developed, wherein each crimp band completely caps at least one peripheral groove that is developed on the inner surface of the pressure sleeve. Also disclosed is a method for connecting a hose with a tubular coupling with a pressure sleeve that is crimped at least at three sites separate from one another in the axial direction such that at least three crimp bands extending in the circumferential direction are developed, wherein at least one crimp band completely caps at least one peripheral groove that is developed on the inner surface of the pressure sleeve. Tubular couplings, pressure sleeves and combinations are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11052724
Abstract: A block fitting and seal structure for an air conditioning system includes a male block fitting and a female block fitting. The male block fitting includes an axially extending protuberant portion. A distal end of the protuberant portion has a tapered portion formed thereon. A female block fitting includes a recessed portion with a tapered portion formed therein. The tapered portion of the female block fitting is configured to engage the tapered portion of the male block fitting. An annular seal is disposed between the male block fitting and the female block fitting. The seal provides an axial seal and a radial seal between the male block fitting and the female block fitting.

  • Publication number: 20200200307
Abstract: A block fitting assembly comprises a first block having a first opening formed therethrough, a sealing element, and a tube. The tube includes a linearly extending first segment extending through the first opening of the first block and a linearly extending second segment arranged at an angle relative to the first segment. A bend portion of the tube connects the first segment to the second segment. An end portion of the first segment of the tube forms a seal engaging surface of the tube for engaging the sealing element. The end portion of the first segment of the tube further defines at least a portion of the projecting portion of the first block configured for reception in a recess of a corresponding second block.
