Abstract: A connection system with two system elements forming a plug and a receptacle. A locking device including a locking nut mounted free in rotation around the plug or the receptacle, and a locking pin arranged into the locking nut. The locking pin is adapted to be engaged into a locking ramp provided in the receptacle or the plug by relative translation between the plug and the receptacle and rotation of the locking nut to mechanically lock the plug to the receptacle when they are in mutual connection. The arrangement of the locking pin is such that a pull force applied to a sliding part of the locking nut, in a sense opposite to the sense of their mutual connection, disengages the locking pin from the locking ramp, allowing the unlocking of the plug from the receptacle.

Abstract: A single pole power connector system includes a plurality of single pole connectors for carrying electric current in a multi-phase power applications. A single pole connector can be provided for each phase or line of the application. The single pole connectors can include mating male plugs and female receptacles. To releasably couple the male plugs and female receptacles of each single pole connector together, the plugs and receptacles can include between them a coupling feature. To prevent or avoid misconnections between male plugs and female receptacles of different single pole connectors, the plugs and receptacles can also include between themselves a polarization feature. The polarization feature can be angularly offset with respect to the coupling feature so that the plugs and receptacles can only couple with their intended pair.

The spring ring has at least one radially urged spring finger and the collar has at least one opening dimensioned to receive the spring finger. The spring ring includes an increased thickness area in an axial dimension which is engaged against an undersurface configuration of the collar so that as the collar is rotated with respect to the spring ring it will undergo axial movement.

Abstract: An electrical connector, particularly a single pole electrical connector, has a first connector body portion having an engagement structure capable of engagement with a mating electrical connector. An electrical contact is provided adjacent the first connector body portion. A second connector body portion is connected to the electrical contact and has an electrical cable engagement portion capable of engagement with an electrical cable. The first and second connector body portions are rotatably engaged with each other and rotatable relative to each other about a longitudinal axis of the electrical connector. The first connector body portion rotates about the longitudinal axis independently of the second connector body portion and the electrical contact. Rotation of the electrical cable is not required to connect the single pole electrical connector to the mating electrical connector.
