  • Patent number: 11452153
Abstract: A networkable device is coupled to a wireless IP gateway or paired to a personal area network (PAN) via the use of a sonic tone, which may be a human audible tone, which encodes a symbol sequence representing a binary message useful for implementing connection to a wireless IP gateway or pairing with a PAN. In one embodiment the sonic tone conveys a media access controller (MAC) address, to facilitate connection and/or pairing. Alternatively, or in addition, the sonic tone may encode a Service Set Identifier (SSID) and password for connection to a wireless network (Wi-Fi), or a BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) identifier and/or PIN for connection to a BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) PAN. In particular implementation of this embodiment the tone is produced by the IP gateway and used to initiate Wi-Fi connection, and/or the tone is produced by the master device of a PAN to initiate BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) connection.

  • Publication number: 20210322242
Abstract: Respiratory isolation systems and devices for facilitating delivery of respiratory treatments to a patient. The device incudes a housing, a filtration unit, and at least one access port. The housing includes a front panel, a rear panel, one or more side panels, and a top panel that combine to define a chamber. The housing defines an open base that is open to the chamber, and the front panel defines an opening to the chamber. The filtration unit is mounted to the housing and includes a filter in fluid communication with the chamber. The access port is formed through one of the panels and permits user access to the chamber from an exterior of the housing. When connected to an airflow source as part of a respiratory isolation system, negative or positive pressure can continuously be provided to a patient within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 11135401
Abstract: A urinary catheter support configured to support an indwelling urinary catheter such that the urinary catheter is secured relative to the penis of a male patient includes a flexible main body having an interior size and configured to receive and accommodate the penis of the male patient. A catheter support is located at a front end of the main body and is configured to support a catheter adjacent a longitudinal axis of the main body. A slot extends along the longitudinal axis through the main body and the catheter support. A strap includes first and second end segments and a middle segment between the first and second end segments. The first and second end segments respectively extend through first and second openings in the main body, and the middle segment extends through an interior of the main body.
