  • Publication number: 20220348448
Abstract: A vehicle lift assembly includes a control unit and a first lift device. The first lift device includes a lifting carriage, a lift actuation assembly that can actuate the lifting carriage between a lowered position and a raised position, and an indicator assembly. The indicator assembly can generate a visual indicator on a surface proximal to the first lift device under control of the control unit, such as one selected as a function of a state of the first lift device.

  • Publication number: 20220259026
Abstract: A set of lift controls may be configured to determine the load on the motor (112) by a vehicle of an unknown weight during operation at a standard lift speed and use such information to determine a potential speed that the motor may raise the vehicle at while staying within safe operational levels for the motor. One or more of a magnitude of electrical power drawn, a pressure generating by a hydraulic lifting, or a sensed vehicle weight may be used to provide an indication of load on the motor and/or a higher potential speed.

  • Publication number: 20220219958
Abstract: A vehicle lift system uses locally and globally available datasets to provide various automated and semi-automated lift positioning modes that may be used to position lift arms and engage adapters with lift points of a vehicle. A set of sensors are used to determine a position and orientation of a vehicle within a lift area. Each lift arm includes a camera that is coupled to the lift arm with a static field of view relative to the adapter despite extension, retraction, or rotation of lift arm members. The cameras provide images of the adapter and its surroundings that may be analyzed with object recognition to identify the vehicle's lift points. Lift point positions may also be determined using back-calculation. Automatic positioning of the lift arms may be performed based on identified lift points and may also include projection of an optical locator from a locator within the adapter.

  • Publication number: 20210238018
Abstract: An apparatus includes a housing, a piston, an input cavity, a first actuating shaft, a first output cavity, and a second output cavity. The housing comprises an input port, a first output port, a second output port, a first end, a second end, a first wide wall having a first internal surface, and a chamber at least partially defined by the first end and the first internal surface. The piston is able to actuate along the first internal surface of the first side wall. The input cavity is in fluid communication with the input port. The first output cavity is in fluid communication with the first output port. The second output cavity is in fluid communication with the second output port. The first actuating shaft is fixed to the piston and helps fluidly isolate the first output port from the second output port.

  • Patent number: 10676332
Abstract: A plurality of portable lifts are dynamically configured to form a lift system for raising and lowering of vehicle. Each portable lift is added to the lift system and communicates wirelessly with a centralized control module. Some systems guide the user through a sequenced association of lifts in particular relative positions around the vehicle, while others use automatic position-detection techniques to determine those relative positions without explicit user input. Some systems allow definition of subsystems that can be operated together. Flexible controls may selectively allow operation of individual lifts, pairs or subsystems of lifts, or the full system at once. Controls on each lift may communicate commands for other lifts by way of the centralized control module.

  • Publication number: 20170313560
Abstract: A vehicle lift includes a hydraulic cylinder having a component that rotates as the cylinder lengthens and shortens. A sensor measures the rotation or rotational position of the rotating component, and the sensor's output is used by a controller to control the vehicle lift. In some embodiments, the vehicle lift includes a scissor or parallelogram mechanism, while others are column lifts. In some embodiments, the controller uses the sensor's output to manage the limits of travel of the vehicle lift, and in others, the controller uses it to coordinate lift operations with other lifts.
