Abstract: A mobile application for a proximity-based reminder system that monitors a user's location along with the user's proximity to their personal belongings, and reminds the user when they are at risk of leaving a predetermined area without taking those personal belongings with them. The user is able to create a reminder/alert by choosing a personal item, and then selecting a distance or area such that they cannot cross without receiving an alarm/notification. The proximity-based reminder system dynamically tracks, maps and calculates the user's location and movement data, and compares the user's dynamic location with their initial location, to determine when the user has moved or traveled beyond their selected distance or area. When this condition is met, the user is presented with an alarm or push notification reminding the user not to leave the area without bringing their personal items with them.
