  • Patent number: 11960911
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for generating content clusters from topic data and focus data, generating content collections from content clusters, storing and restoring desktop scene layouts, and storing and arranging video call scenes. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems generate content clusters based on topic data and focus data associated with content items within a content management system and/or accessed via the internet. The disclosed systems can also generate content collections for a user account of the content management system from the content clusters. In some embodiments, the content scene system can further store and restore desktop scene layouts for arranging application windows presenting content items. Further, the disclosed systems can store and arrange particular desktop scene layouts for video call scenes.

  • Patent number: 11422721
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic and automatic data storage scheme switching in a distributed data storage system. A machine learning-based policy for computing probable future content item access patterns based on historical content item access patterns is employed to dynamically and automatically switch the storage of content items (e.g., files, digital data, photos, text, audio, video, streaming content, cloud documents, etc.) between different data storage schemes. The different data storage schemes may have different data storage cost and different data access cost characteristics. For example, the different data storage schemes may encompass different types of data storage devices, different data compression schemes, and/or different data redundancy schemes.

  • Patent number: 9533217
Abstract: According to a method for enabling online game play in a content stream, a website logon is received from a user of a computing device and an associated profile is retrieved. The content stream associated with the profile is displayed in a GUI presented by the computing device. The content stream includes a view of an online game. The view associated with the game is updated in response to a game move. The game move results from input from the user and the view associated with the game continues to be displayed in the content stream.

  • Patent number: 8366546
Abstract: According to a method for displaying an online game in a content stream, a website logon is received from a user of a computing device and an associated profile is retrieved. The content stream associated with the profile is displayed in a GUI presented by the computing device. The content stream includes multiple views associated with different games that are multiplayer online games. The view associated with a game is updated in response to an event recognized by the game mechanics model of this game. The view associated with the game is relocated to a location of prominence in the content stream, if the user data indicates that the user is a participant of the game. The relative location of the view associated with the game is maintained within the content stream, if the user data indicates that the user is a spectator of the game.
