  • Publication number: 20110206101
Abstract: A practical technique for noise mitigation, based on the conventional DPBO, UPBO and VN technologies and enabling dynamic, more accurate determination of parameters required for management of transmission in xDSL channels. The technique combines the conventional noise mitigation techniques with systematic determining of crosstalk readings at each and every line of the xDSL binder, in particular with the DSM (Dynamic Spectrum Management) mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20080187077
Abstract: A method is provided for reducing interferences in communications exchanged along a plurality of communication channels extending between a DSLAM and subscribers' terminals. The method comprises i) storing a mathematical representation of the plurality of communication channels; ii) measuring at least one parameter characterizing a first communication channel; iii) applying the measured parameter(s) to update the mathematical representation of the first communication channel if required and replacing the mathematical representation of the first communication channel with the updated mathematical representation thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080043624
Abstract: A method is described for rate adaptation in a telecommunication system comprising a group of bonded transmission links carrying together a binary traffic stream, wherein each of the bonded links is adapted to carry a sub-stream of binary information allocated in a number of bins. In case of changing conditions in at least one bin of at least one bonded link among the group, bit re-allocation is performed between different bonded links in the group, thereby adapting rate in one or more of the bonded transmission links to the current conditions.

  • Publication number: 20050050260
Abstract: A system for checking the presence of one or several words from a given list in an input put string of subwords. The list of words is stored in a memory array comprising one comparator for each memory cell storing one subword. The string is divided in sub-strings. Each sub-string is loaded several times unto a compare register, each time being roll-shifted by one sub-word. At each memory cell, simultaneous comparisons are made with the input sub-string. A logic circuit for each memory cell detects consecutive matching of sub words of the string with the sub-words of a word of the list. Whenever a match occurs for a full word of the list, a signal is set for for this word. A List Match signal is set, and a priority encoder may be used to output the address (position) of one of the matching words.
