  • Patent number: 10257368
Abstract: Method for transferring an entitlement from a first party to a second party in a communication network. The second party which is preferably a mobile communication connects to a mobile communication network and to a peer-to-peer network. The second party selects, over the peer-to-peer network, entitlement offered by the first party to purchase or to use a product or a service. The second party effects the entitlement, using the mobile communication terminal, to purchase or to use the product or the service.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 16, 2015
Date of Patent: April 9, 2019
    Assignee: GENBAND US LLC
Inventors: Alex Nerst, Avi Shechter, Boaz Zilberman
  • Patent number: 9712667
Abstract: A method and a system for identifying a network entity within a first communication network, using an entity identification data of the network entity in a second communication network. More particularly but not exclusively, identifying a network entity within a peer-to-peer communication network, using an entity identification data of the network entity in an underlying conventional communication network.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 20, 2007
Date of Patent: July 18, 2017
    Assignee: Genband US LLC
Inventors: Alex Nerst, Avi Shechter, Boaz Zilberman
  • Patent number: 9413540
Abstract: A system and a method for teleconferencing including a plurality of terminals, a plurality of peer servers and at least one conferencing servers, where the terminals measure their channel quality, create at least one group of terminals according to their channel quality measurements, and using a coding scheme adaptive to the channel quality measurements. The terminals communicate conferencing content via peer-to-peer communication, directly between terminals who are members of the group of terminals, and using the selected coding scheme, and communicate the same conferencing content with other terminals participating in the conferencing call via at least one network device such as a conferencing-server and a peer-server. Where the conferencing-server and/or the peer-server provide conversion for the conferencing content, adaptive to the other terminals.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 2, 2012
Date of Patent: August 9, 2016
    Assignee: GENBAND US LLC

  • Patent number: 9100200
Abstract: A method and a system for initiating a video session between parties while the parties are engaged in a text chat session. The method includes the steps of: reaching consent between the parties to engage in a video session while in a text chat session; identifying user activity associated with the text chat session; and automatically activating a video session with the other party when the user is actively associated with the text chat session.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 4, 2015
    Assignee: GENBAND US LLC
    Inventors: Alex Nerst, Avi Shechter
  • Patent number: 9100903
Abstract: A method for an application program executed by a network terminal device to select a preferred wireless communication technology from at least two different communication technologies provided concurrently by the same network operator, according to at least one communication parameter differentiating between the two communication technologies.
