  • Publication number: 20240058165
Abstract: A system for cooling a head of a user to mitigate or prevent drug-induced hair-loss, including a hat, which includes an exterior layer, an interior layer, with an inflatable chamber therebetween, the inflatable chamber being functionally associated with an inflation pump. The hat includes a cooling assembly, reversibly attachable to the interior layer and including a housing defining pockets having cooling pads therein. Each cooling pad comprising a phase-changing-material adapted to obtain a temperature lower than ?20° C. and to retain that temperature. A sensor is adapted to sense an environmental condition within the hat. A controller is adapted to receive input from the sensor, and to provide a notification when the sensed environmental condition is outside of a specific range. When the hat is donned by the user, the inflatable chamber is inflated sufficiently to ensure that the cooling assembly engages the scalp of the user.

  • Patent number: 11174633
Abstract: A modular construction system, including, first and second walls, each having first and second broad surfaces. Each wall includes throughgoing connector-receiving bores. The modular construction system further includes a connector including a longitudinal body portion arranged along a longitudinal axis and having a first width. A head portion of the longitudinal body portion includes a base surface having a second width in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. A pair of protrusions extend outwardly from the longitudinal body portion and are disposed between the base surface and a tail end of the longitudinal body portion. The protrusions include an engagement surface facing toward the base surface and having a third width, the third width being greater than the first width.

  • Publication number: 20200079597
Abstract: A system including a first tile, an actuator mechanically connected to the first tile, and a mechanical link mechanically connecting the first tile to a second tile, wherein the mechanical link is configured to allow the actuator to move the first tile a first distance in a first direction without causing the second tile to move, and to cause the second tile to move in the first direction when the first tile is moved in the first direction further than the first distance. A method for withdrawing a tile from an array of tiles including moving a first tile a first distance in a first direction without causing a second, adjacent tile to move, thereby distancing the first tile from the second tile, and withdrawing the first tile from a front face of the array of tiles. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

  • Patent number: 10568400
Abstract: A luggage article comprising a body including a top face, a bottom face, an a plurality of side faces. A first pair of wheels is disposed at the bottom face of the body. A handle has a first operative orientation wherein the handle is disposed within the body and a second operative orientation wherein the handle extracted from the body. A central wheel is functionally associated with the handle, such that in the first operative orientation of the handle, the central wheel is retracted and disposed in or adjacent a face of the body, and in the second operative orientation the central wheel is extracted and extends outwardly from the body.
