  • Publication number: 20200059993
Abstract: A device provides a soft access point in, for example, a wireless network. The device sends, to an access point, a resource request message that includes cluster information about a cluster of network units connected to the device. The access point allocates first resources for communications within the cluster according to the cluster information, and sends to the device a resource allocation message specifying the first resources. The device uses the first resources for communications within the cluster.

  • Patent number: 10492139
Abstract: A method for waking up a radio communications module (RCM) of a station with a wake-up receiver includes receiving a wake-up signal with the wake-up receiver, waking up the RCM from a sleeping mode, transmitting a second frame if a first frame is received within a specified time after waking up the RCM and if an integrity of the first frame is verified successfully, and placing the RCM into the sleeping mode and the wake-up receiver into an active mode if the first frame is not received within the specified time after waking up the RCM or if the first frame is received within the specified time after waking up the RCM but the integrity of the first frame is not verified successfully.

  • Publication number: 20190289634
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an access point device (AP) for communicating with a client device (STA). The AP may include a transceiver configured to transmit a first data packet indicating a set of groups, wherein each group of the set of groups is associated with a specific set of transmission parameters. The transceiver of the AP may also be configured to transmit a second data packet indicating an allocation for at least part of the groups. Furthermore, the transceiver of the AP may also be configured to receive a response frame using at least part of random access (RA) resources selected by the STA for the at least part of the groups.

  • Publication number: 20190007965
Abstract: A client type communication device for communicating with an access point type communication device is provided. The client type communication device comprises: a transceiver unit, configured to receive a trigger frame from the access point type communication device, the trigger frame indicating a particular portion of time-frequency resources of an uplink frame to be allocated by the client type communication device for uplink transmission of multiple types of control data; and a control unit, configured to allocate the indicated portion of time-frequency resources of the uplink frame for uplink transmission of the multiple types of control data, wherein the transceiver unit is configured to transmit the uplink frame comprising the multiple types of control data to the access point type communication device.

  • Publication number: 20190007978
Abstract: The application relates to an access point type communication device (110) configured to allocate a plurality of random access resources to a set of associated client type communication devices (120a-c). The access point type communication device (110) comprises a controller (111) configured to maintain a set of association identifiers, wherein each identifier of the set of association identifiers is configured to identify a respective client type communication device of the set of client type communication devices (120a-c), as well as a set of random access identifiers. In an embodiment, the access point type communication device (110) further comprises an allocator (113) configured to allocate the plurality of random access resources to the set of client type communication devices (120a-c) on the basis of the set of random access identifiers.

  • Patent number: 10070319
Abstract: A device for assigning radio channels to radio transceiver devices. The device comprises an interface configured to receive two or more radio communication values, each associated with a radio transceiver device. The device comprises a processor configured to calculate an ordering of two or more radio transceiver devices based on radio communication values and build, according to the ordering, one or more rooted tree representing assignment of available radio channels to first radio transceiver devices according to the ordering. A branch of the rooted tree is selected according to a cost function value calculated along each branch. The processor is configured to assign the available radio channels to the radio transceiver devices according to the selected branch.

  • Patent number: 10009280
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for providing an efficient multi-client access in a WLAN, the method comprising the step of: when the number of clients exceeds a threshold, creating at least two virtual access points (VAP1, VAP2, VAP3); load balancing by distributing workloads across the created at least two virtual access points; and dynamically allocating at least one quality of service parameter (e.g., timeslots, AIFS, TXOP, maximum and minimum contention window) to each of the created at least two virtual access points.
