Abstract: Products and processes are disclosed for displaying and printing works of art in an improved manner. A server or the like receives a request to print the digital image on a printing device, such as a high quality ink jet or dye sublimation printer. The server also receives payment information for the request to print. The server then determines whether a number of previously-printed prints of the digital image has exceeded a maximum. For example, an artist may have decided that his work of art may only be reproduced in a run of no more than 500 prints. The server authorizes the printing device to print the digital image, and the server records that the digital image was printed.
