  • Publication number: 20190128867
Abstract: A bioinspired protein pore-based nanostructure that can provide selective, real-time sampling of protein-protein interactions at single-molecule resolution. This modular nanostructure relied on a single polypeptide chain that encompassed a heavily truncated outer membrane protein, a highly flexible connector, a protein receptor element, as well as a polypeptide adapter. The presence of a protein ligand analyte in solution produced reversible binding and release events, in the form of discrete and stochastic current transitions between open substates of the transmembrane pore, the nature of which depend on both the amount of protein ligand analyte and the strength of the transient PPIs in aqueous phase.

  • Publication number: 20190114417
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, at a processor of a server, a first application programming interface (API) call from a client device and providing an indication associated with the first API call as an input to a machine learning model such that the machine learning model identifies a set of parameters associated with a set of likely subsequent API calls. The method can further include receiving a second API call from the client device, identifying the second API call as an anomalous API call based on the second API call not meeting the set of parameters associated with the set of likely subsequent API calls, and sending a signal to perform a remedial action based on the identifying.

  • Publication number: 20190028688
Abstract: System, apparatus, method, and computer readable media for on-the-fly dynamic calibration of multi-camera platforms using images of multiple different scenes. Image frame sets previously captured by the platform are scored as potential candidates from which new calibration parameters may be computed. The candidate frames are ranked according to their score and iteratively added to the calibration frame set according to an objective function. The selected frame set may be selected from the candidates based on a reference frame, which may be a most recently captured frame, for example. A device platform including a CM and comporting with the exemplary architecture may enhance multi-camera functionality in the field by keeping calibration parameters current. Various computer vision algorithms may then rely upon these parameters, for example.

  • Patent number: 9526544
Abstract: An anatomical shoulder fixation system comprises a lower portion and an upper portion, the lower portion being a separate part and being coupled to the upper portion adjustably. For example, the relative position of the upper portion to the fixation system is capable of rotating and translating with relation to the lower part, accommodating placement on a shoulder even if displacement of the lesser tuberosity and the greater tuberosity due to fracture or dislocation. Examples include a flexible upper portion coupled to a lower portion or a more rigid upper portion joined to a lower portion, and combinations of these. In both examples, screws may be used to fix the lower portion prior to completing the displacement and fixation of the upper portion. For example, the lower portion may provide structures for attaching sutures, suitable for use with a curved needle shaft and suture.
