    Abstract: A method for establishing a communication connection with a target device over a short-range wireless communication protocol is provided. The method comprises initiating a pairing request for connecting to the target device, the pairing request comprising a first wireless device address associated with a requesting device; and forwarding the pairing request to a destination address associated with the target device over a wide area network, requesting a second wireless device address associated with the target device.
