  • Publication number: 20080180537
Abstract: A system and method for providing visible indications of an area of interest for assisting the visual orientation of a user using a digital camera is provided. The system includes a digital camera having a built in illumination projector. The illumination projector optical axis is related to the camera optical axis. Typically the illumination projector is collimated with the camera. Images produced by the illumination projector are viewed by camera user and are used as a reference for understanding the camera orientation and for selecting the desirable direction and field of view (FOV) for the camera. The system and method is extremely useful for portable and wearable digital cameras as well as for setup of fixed camera applications.

  • Publication number: 20060103590
Abstract: A mobile augments information system with capabilities of displaying information within field of view of the eyes a vehicle operator. The mobile augments information system includes a Head Up Display (HUD) apparatus consisting of a projector, a selectively reflecting visor and a HUD processing units. The Mobile HUD displays digital information that may be received from external sources such as a cellular phone, navigation system, automotive system, or remote information systems such as Location Based Services (LBS). The data may be received via a wireless link, or a wired link. The mobile HUD may be controlled locally, remotely by a vehicle operator using a wireless remote controller, or using voice commands. The mobile HUD system may also include internal information sources, such as a GPS receiver, or a cellular phone. The mobile augments information system can display textual and graphical information using monochrome or multicolor. Visor may be fixed or dynamically controlled.

  • Publication number: 20020155847
Abstract: A communications system and methodology for providing improved and enhanced mobile phone call recording, storing and retrieving services to subscribers. Multiple disparate communication recorders and storage facilities, preferably located at communications network switching centers, provides selected call recording services to subscribers according to pre-selected criteria provided by said subscribers before or during said call to be recorded. The system architecture of the present invention enables optimized solution for providing recording services to large number of subscribers by utilizing large-scale traffic monitoring and filtering techniques, distributed call recording and storage that minimizes superfluous traffic within said communications network and centralized retrieval center operative to locate and retrieve recorded calls to subscribers. In addition, the system provides cross-network roaming and unified recording services, including public line/IP/mobile networks and private exchanges.
