Patent number: 11060531Abstract: A heating pump includes a pump body and a driving motor. The pump body includes a pump housing with a water inlet and a water outlet, a heating member fixed in an interior of the pump housing, and an impeller connected with the driving motor. The heating member includes fittings and a heating coiled pipe connected between the fittings and bent into an arc. The impeller is disposed at an upper part of the pump housing, one end of the driving motor is disposed adjacent the impeller, and the heating coiled pipe circles around a radial side portion of part of the driving motor. The heating pump has a rational design and high heat exchange efficiency. The safety auxiliary motor has a low requirement for power. The axial size of the water pump is significantly reduced.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2016Date of Patent: July 13, 2021Assignee: JOHNSON ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL AGInventors: Awade Badafem, Shao Peng Mo, Min Li, Jin Jin Wu

Patent number: 9531229Abstract: A brushed rotatory device (10) includes a stator, a rotor (14), an impeller (70), and a chamber (48) accommodating the commutator (16) and brushes (52) to contain debris from consumed brushes. The impeller causes air flow to dissipate heat generated by the rotatory device and may further carry the consumed brush debris away. The rotatory device includes flow channel(s) (72) which communicates with the impeller exhaust and accommodates absorbent or filtering materials (88) to trap the debris in the air flow. The commutation area may be double contained by using flange(s) (202) or wall(s) (42) to trap or confine a greater part of the debris in a localized region or to reduce noise from the rotatory device operations.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2013Date of Patent: December 27, 2016Assignee: JOHNSON ELECTRIC S.A.Inventors: Awade Badafem, Min Li

Patent number: 9145901Abstract: A heating pump includes an electric motor, a pump housing fixed to the motor, an impeller driven by the motor, and a ring heater with an inner hole for heating fluid in the pump housing. The pump housing has a pump chamber and a pump inlet and a pump outlet which are in fluid communication with the pump chamber. The impeller is received in the pump housing and having an impeller inlet and a plurality of impeller outlets. The ring heater is disposed inside the pump chamber and between the pump inlet and the impeller. The impeller inlet is in fluid communication with the pump inlet via the inner hole.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2012Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignee: Johnson Electric S.A.Inventors: Yue Li, Lisheng Liu, Hongjian Zhang, Zongqian Qi, Awade Badafem, Min Li

Publication number: 20150044073Abstract: A centrifugal pump for a kitchen appliance has a pump head and a pump body having a motor. The stator of the motor has a stator core, windings and an end cap fixed to one side of the stator core. The pump head has a volute and an impeller. The volute has a chamber with an inlet and an outlet. The chamber has an opening facing the pump body. The end cap is made of thermally conductive material and has an annular sidewall and a base plate. The sidewall surrounds the stator core. The base plate seals the opening of the chamber. Heat generated by the stator is transferred to liquid in the chamber via the end cap to cool the motor and to heat the liquid.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2014Publication date: February 12, 2015Inventors: Awade BADAFEM, Min LI

Patent number: 8926275Abstract: A centrifugal pump includes an electric motor, an impeller driven by the motor and a pump housing having an impeller chamber, an inlet in communication with the impeller chamber via an opening, and first and second outlets in communication with the impeller chamber. The impeller chamber has an interference structure which forms first and second flow channels in communication with the first and second outlets. The interference structure directs the fluid in the impeller chamber to flow through the first outlet via the first flow channel when the impeller rotates in a first direction or to flow through the second outlet via the second flow channel when the impeller rotates in the opposite direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2011Date of Patent: January 6, 2015Assignee: Johnson Electric S.A.Inventors: Awade Badafem, Min Li
