    Abstract: A device for retaining doctor blades a bottom plate and a top plate, said plates being pivotally connected together by means of a pivot bearing and the doctor blade is fixed to the top plate. An expandable tube is arranged respectively on both sides of the pivot bearing between the bottom plate and the top plate, said pivot bearing consisting of a radially supported bearing shaft and a receiving element for the bearing shaft. The bearing shaft is fixed either to the bottom plate or the top plate and the receiving element is fixed to either the top plate or the bottom plate.
