    Abstract: A drill or impact hammer has a mechanical striking mechanism which is driven in a reciprocating manner by a drive element which is tiltable around an axle. A resilient driver member which is tiltable around the axle serves to transmit this movement to a striker. The driver member is articulated at the striker with play to protect the bearings from the reaction forces in percussion operation.
