  • Patent number: 12145318
Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring a quality of an object of a 3D-print job series of identical objects, each object built from a multitude of stacked 2D-layers printed by a 3D-printer in an additive manufacturing process, including: determining a layer quality indicator of a currently printed layer of an object, comparing the determined layer quality indicator of the currently printed layer with a predetermined lower confidence limit of the layer, the predetermined lower confidence limit being calculated depending on layer quality indicators of previously completely manufactured objects complying with predefined quality requirements, and generating a warning signal, if the layer quality indicator of the currently printed layer has a value equal or lower than the lower quality limit is provided.

  • Patent number: 11197784
Abstract: An absorbent disposable article, such as a diaper, panty diaper, panty liner, sanitary napkin or incontinence device is disclosed. The article has a porous polymer-based structure obtainable by a process of: (a) depositing and photopolymerizing, layer-by-layer in accordance with a predetermined 3D model, an emulsion having an external continuous phase surrounding droplets of an internal phase having has one or more photopolymerizable monomers and/or oligomers and a photopolymerization initiator; and (b) removing the internal phase from the continuous polymer phase formed from the one or more photopolymerizable monomers and/or oligomers. The process produces a monolithic porous structure having three types of pores: (i) pores resulting from the location from which the internal phase was removed, (ii) pores interconnecting the pores according to (i), and (iii) pores as predetermined by the 3D model. The invention also relates to a method of making the article.

  • Patent number: 10476848
Abstract: A network device and a peripheral device for attachment with a medical imaging device provides for the encryption and conversion of a medical image into a secure and standardized image file format as well as the communication of the encrypted and/or converted image to a secure server on a remote network. The devices may monitor all medical image files generated on the medical imaging device and encrypt and convert selected medical image files for transmission to a remotely connected device on another network, such as a server or a mobile device. An encryption and conversion unit may be incorporated within the hardware and software of a medical imaging device or another network device in order to provide the capability for encrypting a medical image for transmission to a remote network and for converting the medical image to a format that is compatible with a destination device or network.
