Abstract: The patent application relates to a contact element (10) for connecting an electrical conductor (30), comprising a flat electrically conductive base element (12) in which at least one passage (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d, 14e, 14f, 14g) is provided, the smallest diameter (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d, 15e, 15f, 15g) of which is smaller than the diameter of the electrical conductor (30), and at its free end (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, 18e, 18f, 18g) at least one contact lug (16a, 16b, 16c, 16d, 16e, 16f, 16g) adjoins the passage (14a, 14b, 14c, 14d, 14e, 14f, 14g), and the contact lug (16a, 16b, 16c, 16d, 16e, 16f, 16g) being designed in such a way that when an electrical conductor (30) is inserted, the contact lug lies with its free end (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, 18e, 18f, 18g) against the electrical conductor (30).
