  • Publication number: 20140249456
Abstract: The tampon assembly has a load, e.g. a vibration element, accommodated in a tampon and connected to a first end of a cable assembly (4). To a second end of the cable assembly (4) is connected a housing (5) containing at least one electric component. The second end of the cable assembly (4) is connected to the housing (5) mechanically and to the at least one electric component electrically by releasable coupling means (7). To prevent this connection from being separated by a tensile force acting upon the cable assembly (4), e.g. when retracting the tampon from the body, the coupling means (7) and the housing (5) are provided with locking means (10, 12).

  • Publication number: 20140171891
Abstract: The invention solves the problem of providing a tampon (1) having a hollow space for receiving a capsule. The capsule may e.g. contain a vibration element. The hollow space is formed by a hollow body (5) that is open on at least one side and is surrounded by the absorbent material (2), preferably wrapped with the latter, on at least part of its length.

  • Patent number: 8468662
Abstract: The invention relates to a press (1) for producing a tampon (8) by radially pressing an absorbent material by means of compression jaws (2, 2?, 3) which have respective penetrating segments (4, 5) for embossing grooves (9, 10) into the absorbent material, one compression jaw (3) the penetrating segment (5) of which is designed as a strip having flat lateral faces projecting into the compression space and one compression jaw (2, 2?) the penetrating segment (4, 4?) of which is designed as a rib having undulated lateral faces projecting into the compression space being alternately arranged. A projection of the strip onto a peripheral surface of the tampon (8) present in the compression space represents a straight line and a projection of the undulated rib onto the peripheral surface represents an undulated line.

  • Publication number: 20120226216
Abstract: The invention relates to an applicator (1) for inserting an elongated object into a human or animal body orifice, comprising a one-piece, elongated applicator body (2). An accommodating area (5) for the object is arranged at a first end (3), and a handle area (6) is arranged at the second area (4). The accommodating area (5) is hollow and is open at the first end (3). At least one slit (9) open at the first end (3) extends from said end (3) in the wall of the accommodating area (5) in order to accommodate a flexible retracting means arranged on an object to be inserted by means of the applicator.
