  • Patent number: 6213710
Abstract: A method for thrust compensation on a corresponding turbomachine, in particular a turbo engine of pot-type construction. The turbomachine has an outer casing and an inner casing or blade carrier. At least one first area of an exterior of part of the inner casing is divided for axial thrust compensation into two partial areas for axial thrust compensation. Each of the two partial areas is subjected to a different pressure and the separation between the two pressures is brought about by at least one means, in particular a seal.

  • Patent number: 6092986
Abstract: A turbine plant, in particular a steam-turbine plant, includes at least two turbine sections, each having a turbine rotor extending along a main axis and an inner casing accommodating guide blades. At least one inner casing is displaceable in axial direction and a thermally expanding thrust element is provided for an axial displacement. The trust element has first and second expansion components connected to one another by a coupling component. The coupling component mechanically and/or hydraulically produces an axial displacement of the second expansion component which is greater than a thermal expansion and/or axial displacement of the first expansion component. A thrust element for reducing different axial expansions between two components expandable independently of one another along a main axis, is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6082962
Abstract: A turbine shaft includes an inflow region for fluid, in particular steam, and at least two recesses spaced apart axially from one another and from the inflow region, for receiving at least one turbine blade in each case. A cavity in the turbine shaft is associated with the inflow region and is connected to a feed line and a discharge line for fluid for cooling the turbine shaft. A steam turbine and a method for cooling an inflow region of a turbine shaft disposed in a steam turbine, are also described.

  • Patent number: 4744726
Abstract: Turboset includes a horizontal, heat-movable lug mounting of an inner housing of the respective low-pressure turbine stage on lug arms structurally combined with a vacuumtight leadthrough of coupling rods via which the thrust transmission is disposable in vicinity of the thrust transmitting turbine mounts; the lug arms of the inner housing of the respective low-pressure turbine stage extending in a direction parallel to a shaft center line, and sliding support and guide surfaces of the lug arms being mounted and guided on fixed bearing surfaces of an associated mount housing; the coupling rods being positively coupled to the lug arms in the vicinity of the thrust transmitting turbine mounts, and the leadthrough through the outer housing of the respective low-pressure turbine stage for the positive-coupled coupling rod to the respective lug arm being disposed on the support and guide surfaces of the fixed bearing surfaces, respectively, in a common vacuum chamber communicating with an exhaust steam chamber of

  • Patent number: 4732533
Abstract: Mounting arrangement for turbomachines, especially steam turbines having a plurality of coaxially juxtaposed turbine states with shafts rigidly coupled to one another to form a shaft line, includes respective step-shaped projections formed on support lugs of turbine stage housings and jutting axially outwardly and with a step-shaped upwardly offset setback axially inwardly adjacent the projections while forming a horizontal bottom surface serving as a support and guide surface; the respective mount housing having support flanges gripping under the support lugs at both sides of the shaft in accordance with the position of the support lugs, the support flanges having a depression for accommodating therein the stepshaped projection and having a stepshaped raised rim axially adjacent the stepshaped projection for engaging in the setback of the support lug; mutual engagement of the projection in the depression, and the raised rim in the setback providing clearance sufficient to form laterally accessible gaps; adju
