  • Patent number: 11786994
Abstract: In a method for the manufacture of a transmissive optical system from a blank, material ablation is achieved on the blank with an ablative laser, and the pulse duration of the ablative laser is less than 1 ns, and preferably lies between 3 fs and 100 fs, or between 100 fs and 10 ps.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2017
Date of Patent: October 17, 2023
    Assignee: AIXLENS GMBH
Inventors: Axel Von Wallfeld, Reinhart Poprawe, Christian Fornaroli, Edgar Willenborg, Christian Weingarten, Uwe Clasen
  • Publication number: 20230174415
Abstract: Exemplary arrangements relate to a method for producing an implant, in particular an implant configured to be inserted into a Schlemm's canal of an eye, which includes the steps of providing an implant blank, which implant blank is comprised of material that is permeable to laser radiation. The method further includes subjecting at least one region of the implant blank to laser radiation. Subsequent to subjecting the least one region to radiation, the method further includes removing material from the at least one region via fluid etching.

  • Patent number: 5900924
Abstract: By localizing a location D on an optical axis, a virtual image is determined and compared with a measured virtual image. Using an iterative method, a location D can be shifted until the calculated and measured virtual images coincide and these data can then be used to determine an absolute spatial co-ordinate for a point on the surface. This method can be used, for example, in charting the surface of the cornea of an eye which has a reflecting film of tears.
