  • Publication number: 20120115059
Abstract: An electricity output managing system for a fuel cell stack is disclosed. It includes a fuel cell stack, many power switches, an electricity adjusting module, multiple thermal sensors, and a controller. This electricity adjusting module is provided to combine the electricity outputs from these power switches into a single final output. The thermal sensors can detect the inner temperature values of the fuel cell units. The controller can receive the inner temperature values via these thermal sensors and calculate an average of all the inner temperature values which is a floating one. When one of the inner temperature values falls outside a normal range or one of the inner temperature value's variation rates exceeding a preset reference value, the controller turns off the power switch of the corresponding fuel cell unit and sends out a warning signal. So, it can effectuate the fuel cell management by monitoring the inner temperatures of these fuel cell units.

  • Patent number: 7905628
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) device having a humidity sensor includes an LED portion, a humidity sensor and an external device. This LED portion has a base, a boning layer, an LED chip, and a sealing portion. The LED ship is adhered on the base by the bonding layer. The sealing portion encloses the LED chip. This humidity sensor has a transmission element. This humidity sensor is to detect humidity condition in the LED portion. The external device is to monitor humidity condition and variation in the LED portion. It can monitor the internal condition in the LED portion and is possible to detect both the temperature and humidity simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20100283174
Abstract: A composite bipolar plate for a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is prepared as follows: a) melt compounding a polypropylene resin and graphite powder to form a melt compounding material, the graphite powder content ranging from 50 wt % to 95 wt % based on the total weight of the melt compounding material and the polypropylene resin being a homopolymer of propylene or a random copolymer of propylene and ethylene, butylenes or hexalene, wherein 0.01-15 wt % of polymer-grafted carbon nanotubes by an acyl chlorination-amidization reaction, based on the weight of the polypropylene resin, are added during the compounding; and b) molding the melt compounding material from step a) to form a bipolar plates having a desired shaped at 100-250° C. and 500-4000 psi.

  • Patent number: 7485387
Abstract: The present invention provides a fuel cell module compatible with a dry cell. The fuel cell module includes an enclosure, a power generating unit, a hydrogen storage unit and positive/negative output ends. The hollow enclosure has an internal space, and is provided with some preset through-holes, allowing external oxygen to enter into the space. The power generating unit and hydrogen storage unit are mounted into the space of the enclosure. Positive and negative output ends are placed at both sides or adjacent at one side of the enclosure, thereby guiding the positive and negative charge generated by the power generating unit; since the fuel cell modules are compatible with existing conventional dry cells. These modules are widely applied to existing electrical or electronic products.

  • Publication number: 20080248366
Abstract: The present invention is a fuel cell with a combined fuel supply unit and power generating unit. The fuel cell includes a fuel supply unit, a power generating unit, and an enclosure. The fuel supply or fuel storage unit is incorporated laterally or internally into the power generating unit, thereby shortening the fuel pipeline. The performance of the fuel cell is improved, and the space required for fuel cell is reduced for greater applicability.

  • Publication number: 20080248371
Abstract: The fuel cell with a passage structure includes several power generating modules separately provided for forming the passage structure. The power generating modules are formed into a fully-sealed or notched cylinder having an external wall and a hollow space. The power generating modules are superimposed and assembled into a hydrogen guide passage and oxygen guide passage by the misaligned internal sealing member and external sealing member. So, the hydrogen and oxygen can be guided separately into the power generating modules. With this unique circular passage, it is possible to expand the cross-section and to improve the directional properties of the oxygen and hydrogen guide passages, thus promoting transfer efficiency of oxygen and hydrogen and greater industrial practicability.
