  • Patent number: 8808606
Abstract: In a molding machine, an electrical current is caused to flow to a coil by a high-frequency power supply, and a magnetic field is generated, whereupon lines of magnetic force are generated so as to substantially conform to cavity faces of the stationary mold and the moveable mold. The magnetic field strength is constant with respect to position in the lengthwise direction of the coil, and eddy currents are generated uniformly with respect to the cavity faces. Because the molds have electrical resistance, Joule heat is generated by the eddy currents and electrical resistance, and the cavity faces are heated. When a material in a molten state is injected into the cavities of the heated molds, flowability of the material is promoted, and therefore the quality of the molded article is improved.

  • Publication number: 20130093120
Abstract: In a molding surface-heating apparatus, eddy current is generated in a mold by an electromagnetic induction, and a molding surface of the mold is heated by the eddy current. The molding surface-heating apparatus is provided with a conductive member and a coil. The conductive member is electrically connected to and disconnected from a surface of the mold. The coil supplies a magnetic flux to the conductive member and the mold such that the magnetic flux generates the eddy current that crosses the conductive member and the mold and the eddy current passes through the molding surface.

  • Publication number: 20100252962
Abstract: A molding method for a resin product having a thick portion projecting outwardly on a rear surface of the resin product includes: a first step for supplying a melted resin into a cavity of a die by an amount which is less than a volume of the cavity. The cavity has a surface side cavity surface corresponding to a surface of the resin product and a rear surface side cavity surface corresponding to the rear surface of the resin product. The molding method further includes: a second step for supplying a gas from the rear surface side cavity surface of the cavity into the cavity, so that the melted resin is separated from the rear surface side cavity surface of the cavity and closely contacts the surface side cavity surface of the cavity; and a third step for solidifying the melted resin maintained in the condition set in the second step.

  • Publication number: 20100237536
Abstract: A mold for in-mold coating is provided that can ensure a space through which a coating material for performing in-mold coating flows. The mold for in-mold coating includes an undercut-shaped recess 15 formed of a wall portion 15a provided in a mold opening direction and an inclined wall portion 15b provided to face the wall portion 15a at a predetermined angle ?2 in a region corresponding to an end or a corner portion of a product.
