One embodiment is an anatomically-weighted distal limb sleeve for use in a weight loss program. One such anatomically-weighted distal limb sleeve is adapted and sized to be comfortably worn on a distal portion of a person's limb relative to a limb joint. The anatomically-weighted distal limb sleeve comprises a predefined amount of exogenous weight arranged on the limb sleeve to simulate the anatomical distribution of endogenous soft tissue of the distal portion of the limb.
