    Abstract: A device and method are provided for local application of a medicament to a gingiva. The device includes (a) at least one absorbent body for absorbing the medicament; and (b) a biasing structure engaging the at least one absorbent body and being sized and so constructed so as to serve as a clip engagable over a tooth or several adjacent teeth of a maxilla or mandibula for biasing the at least one absorbent body against a portion of a maxillary gingiva or a mandibulary gingiva, respectively.
