Abstract: A method for recognising a user whose body is capable of re-transmitting an electromagnetic signal in the form of an electromagnetic wave. The method is implemented on a transceiver device and includes the following steps on the device: transmitting an electromagnetic pulse signal; obtaining a re-transmitted signal when the user is in the vicinity of the device, the signal depending on the transmitted pulse signal; comparing the re-transmitted signal with at least one reference signal of the user; and recognising the user if the re-transmitted signal is close to the reference signal.

Abstract: A device for accessing a wide area network via a mobile communication network. The device includes a first connection module for connection to the mobile communication network, a second connection module suitable for generating a local network, a data processing module and a subscriber identification card. The data processing module is configured to connect the first and second connection modules via a channel. The subscriber identification card is configured to implement a control module suitable for controlling the use of the channel.

Abstract: A method for connecting a terminal to a telecommunication network via an access point. After a request to connect a terminal to a first access point, the first access point determines if it has access to a resource for serving the terminal and, if possible, serves the terminal. If not, the first access point requests, from at least one second access point to which is it connected, a resource for serving the terminal; and in the event that the resource is available to the second access point, the first access point transfers, to the terminal, data for enabling the terminal to connect to the second access point.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for activating a subscriber card (SIM1), termed the first card, coupled to a first terminal (TRM1) able to communicate with a second terminal (TRM2) coupled to a second active subscriber card (SIM2). The terminals are able to communicate with a first network (NET) of an operator, a terminal being able to communicate with this first network only if the associated card is active. The terminals can furthermore communicate with one another via a second short-range network (SRN). The method is characterized in that it comprises at the level of the first terminal, when a communication is possible between the two terminals via the second network, a step of transmitting to the second terminal a request for activation of the first card on the first network, the request including the identifier of the first card.
