  • Publication number: 20230018026
Abstract: A signal processing simulation method includes obtaining a designation of an audio signal processing apparatus that performs first signal processing on a first audio signal input, obtaining a designation of a signal processing component, obtaining settings of the designated signal processing component, and constructing a virtual signal processing device having the designated signal processing component, the constructed virtual processing device corresponding to the designated audio signal processing apparatus. The virtual signal processing device inputs a second audio signal to the designated signal processing component. The designated signal processing component performs second signal processing, according to the obtained settings, on the second audio signal, and outputs the second audio signal on which the second signal processing has performed.

  • Patent number: 8621053
Abstract: In a firmware update apparatus, a reference device specification part specifies one of a plurality of audio processing devices as a reference device. A version number acquisition part acquires version numbers of firmwares stored in the audio processing devices. A matching table storage stores a matching table defining a combination of compatible version numbers of firmwares. An incompatible device display part performs display for specifying an audio processing device that stores a firmware that does not satisfy compatibility defined in the matching table with a firmware stored in the reference device. An update target type selection part specifies a firmware update target device type from among a plurality of device types. A firmware update instruction part transmits an update command instructing update of the firmware to one or more of audio processing devices belonging to the firmware update target device type selected by the update target type selection part.

  • Patent number: 8424083
Abstract: User operates a selection switch to instruct temporary activation of an application. For the application of which the temporary activation has been instructed, a CPU of a console allocates resources necessary for signal processing by a DSP of an engine and for a parameter editing function of the console. In the DSP, a bypass parameter is set to ON. Thus, there is provided a state capable of accepting various parameter setting operation related to the application, but the signal processing based on the application program is prevented from being started in a substantive manner. In response to a full activation instruction of an application via a full activation instruction switch, the bypass parameter is set to OFF, so that audio signal processing based on the application can be started. In this way, preparatory work for setting parameters related to the application can be performed efficiently.

  • Publication number: 20130010647
Abstract: In a top row on an audio network view screen, device images corresponding to devices composing a basic network are displayed in such a manner as to be arranged in a horizontal direction according to a connection order along with connection cable images indicative of connections between the device images according to connections between devices in the network. In display rows subsequent under the top row, other device images corresponding to devices composing another network which is connected to a connection node in the basic network with a full bridge are displayed in such a manner as to be arranged in the horizontal direction in a connection order along with connection cable images indicative of connections between the device images according to connections in the other network. As for a network connected to the basic network with a partial bridge setting, a partial bridge image is displayed in a display rows.

  • Patent number: 6414231
Abstract: A music score with notes and signs in musical notation is displayed on the screen of a computer system using musical data representing events of notes and signs for a musical performance. The score is editable by moving a note from the exhibited position to another position on the screen. In case the moved note is connected with another note by a connective sign such as a slur, a slide, a bending (i.e. choking) and a hammering-on, the connective sign is also moved to the new position of the moved note. When the notes connected by the connective sign cannot be displayed on the same screen window, the connective sign is exhibited in a special fashion to indicate the associated connection. When the score is expressed in a tablature notation, appropriate modifications are employed to indicate correct manipulative operations for the instrument player.

  • Patent number: 6323411
Abstract: When the student selects a music piece or tune, for example of an 8-beat rhythm, the display panel exhibits a plurality of rhythm study pieces of music of the 8-beat rhythm. Among the displayed plural pieces, the student selects a desired one arbitrarily, and then the apparatus displays a tablature, a musical notation suitable for the instrument, for example, the guitar, corresponding to the selected rhythm study piece. The tablature indicates, for example, the string and the fret positions to depress among the six strings of the guitar, together with the indication of the stroke direction by means of arrows or other marks at every manipulating timing. The student practices the guitar according to the displayed tablature and indications.

  • Patent number: 6188008
Abstract: A chord indication apparatus and method and a storage medium are provided which enable the indication of string plucking positions for playing chords with plural kinds of stringed instruments. A ROM stores plural kinds of table data describing string plucking positions for a variety of chords with respect to said plural kinds of stringed instruments. A stringed instrument is designated, for which said string plucking positions should be indicated, among said plural kinds of stringed instruments. When a chord desired to be played is supplied, a CPU retrieves table data corresponding to the designated stringed instrument from the plural kinds of table data stored in the ROM, obtains string plucking positions corresponding to the supplied chord from the retrieved table data, and indicates the obtained string plucking positions.
