  • Patent number: 11931013
Abstract: A capsule configured for collecting samples in the intestine, comprising a body delimiting at least one compartment for receiving samples and comprising at least one opening for samples intake, and a mobile mechanism for opening and/or closing the opening controlled by the dissolution of a material which is dissolvable in the intestine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 7, 2017
Date of Patent: March 19, 2024
Assignees: UNIVERSITE GRENOBLE ALPES, CENTRE HOSPITALIER UNIVERSITAIRE GRENOBLE
Inventors: Philippe Cinquin, Denis Favier, Thierry Alonso, Aziz Bakri, Nawel Khalef, Jacques Thelu, Sylvain Besson, Donald Martin
  • Patent number: 11469433
Abstract: Thermo-electric generator which is intended to be immersed in a fluid which contains at least one chemical species, comprising two electrodes each having a first end and a second end, the first ends being connected to each other, the generator being configured to generate an electrical voltage between the two ends when a temperature difference is imposed between each first end and the corresponding second end, the temperature difference being such that one end, referred to as the “hot end”, of each electrode has a temperature which is strictly greater than the temperature of the other end. The hot end of at least one electrode comprises a micro-organism or an enzyme which is capable of causing at least one exothermic reaction involving the chemical species.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2019
Date of Patent: October 11, 2022
Assignees: UNIVERSITE GRENOBLE ALPES, INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA SANTE ET DE LA RECHERCHE MEDICALE (INSERM), CENTRE HOSPITALIER RÉGIONAL DE GRENOBLE
Inventors: Abdelkader Zebda, Philippe Cinquin, Jean-Pierre Alcaraz, Donald Martin, Aziz Bakri, Nawel Khalef

  • Patent number: 9244029
Abstract: The use of a vapor source (10) in an isothermal system (8) to control the crystallization or recrystallization of a sample of solid material (9) which is initially at least partially amorphous and/or at least partially crystalline and contained within the system (8), the vapor source (10) including at least one solvent for crystallizing the solid material, the vapor diffusion (14) of which leads to the crystallization or recrystallization of the sample (9), the vapor source (10) being such that the quantities of heat exchanged within the system during the crystallization or recrystallization of the sample (9) other than the heat of crystallization or recrystallization of the sample are less than approximately 10%, particularly 5%, and advantageously 1% of the heat of crystallization or recrystallization of the sample. The vapor source (10) is preferably a pure solvent or a solvent mixture in which no solute is dissolved.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 10, 2009
Date of Patent: January 26, 2016
