  • Patent number: 5877805
Abstract: Image information for one screen is read while moving an image taking device so that a sampling position is shifted to make a round and to return the original position in n frames. The sampling position is shifted after stored signal charges of each of the n frames are transmitted to a transmission section and signal charges stored in a photoelectric conversion section are discharged at latest by the end of sampling position shift, thereby discharging outside signal charges stored during sampling position shift.

  • Patent number: 5568270
Abstract: An image reader that reads the image on transmission-type originals such as negative reversal films for use on digital photoprinters, for example, and which has an inexpensive and simple construction and yet is capable of efficient and rapid image reading operations. The time of reading the light passing through a transmission-type original by a main scanning CCD assembly is varied in accordance with the image data on the original. Alternatively, a prescanning unit and main scanning unit are provided as independent entities that use a prescanning CCD assembly and a main scanning CCD assembly, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4947204
Abstract: A photographic printer having a video image printing system for making prints of video images displayed on a CRT, and a photographic image printing system using the CRT as an illumination light source for a film from which a photographic image is printed, including a control circuit for defocusing an electron beam by which a fluorescent screen of the CRT is stimulated to emit illumination light without rasters when the CRT is used in the film image printing system. The control circuit can either change an angle of deflection of the electron beam or stop deflection of the electron beam.

  • Patent number: 4876567
Abstract: A CRT printing method and apparatus for making a print of an image with letters in order to provide, for example, a picture card with a season's complimentary phrase or message comprising a CRT display device for displaying an image on its screen, a letter bearing member with a complimentary phrase provided thereon which is disposed on or close to the CRT screen, and an exposure system for exposing a photographic paper to the CRT image and the letter bearing member. The letter bearing member is disposed, through a diffusing plate, on desired area of the CRT screen. Part of the CRT image is erased and the corresponding area of the screen is caused to emit light for illuminating the letter bearing member.

  • Patent number: 4780756
Abstract: A hard copy of a picture is produced from a single field of video signals representing the picture. A single field of luminance and line-sequential color difference video signals representing a picture is entered to a signal converter to be converted into a frame of video signals, which is in turn stored in a storage. The signal converter produces interpolated luminance signals and interpolated color difference signals. The video signals are then read out of the storage in an interlace raster scanning fashion. A picture display visibly displays the picture represented by the read out video signals. The video signals are also read out of the storage in a sequential scanning fashion. A picture printer receives the sequentially read out video signals and records on a recording medium the picture represented by the video signals.

  • Patent number: 4740820
Abstract: An apparatus for producing a hard copy of a color picture includes a cathode ray tube for displaying a picture component on a screen thereof upon reception of a video signal which is associated with a separated-color component, and a recorder which includes a plurality of separated-color filters to expose a recording medium to the picture component being displayed on the screen through any of the filters. The recorder exposes the recording medium to picture components of individual separated colors by additive color photography to record a color picture. A photodetector is provided for measuring brightness of the screen through any one of the filters while a controller controls the cathode ray tube and the photodetector. The controller, before recording the picture components of the individual separated-color components on the recording medium, adjust at least one of luminance and contrast of the tube and an exposure time of the recording medium, based on the brightness measured.

  • Patent number: 4729032
Abstract: A picture recording apparatus for recording as a hard copy such as a photography television image signals of a still picture reproduced on a display tube of a television monitor is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a device for reproducing television image signals of a still picture on a display screen of a television monitor as a picture, and a device for projecting the reproduced picture onto a recording medium, and circuitry for magnifiying a part of the reproduced picture on the screen in a vertical scanning direction and/or a horizontal scanning direction.

  • Patent number: 4707739
Abstract: An automatic calibration circuit for a monitoring device in which a static image, such as may be derived from an X-ray camera or an ultrasonic imaging device, is displayed as a static image on CRT and the image projected and recorded on film. A uniform pattern is displayed on the CRT by setting a contrast control signal to a minimum value and a brightness control signal to a reference level. Then, the light outputted from the face of the CRT is measured at any arbitrary point on the face of the CRT. The value so measured is used to correct the brightness signal and contrast signal so as to maintain initially set brightness and contrast values for images displayed on the CRT.
