    Abstract: Handbrake assembly for the wheelbarrow is normally "on" and comprises a brake lever pivoted to the wheelbarrow undercarriage. One end of the lever carries a shoe head, the other a fixture for the drive cable of a Bowden wire leading to a bicycle-type handbrake. A spring presses the brake shoe end of the lever so that it engages the wheel.
