  • Patent number: 12113348
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to detection of abnormal, risky, or aberrant conditions in a power distribution network and to corresponding trip signals being used to trip open devices such as reclosers upstream of where the abnormal condition is detected. Detection of a missing broadband over power-line signal or of an open circuit between phases of a power distribution circuit may prevent severed conductors from causing a ground fault, therefore avoiding the possibility of fire and dangerous conditions.

  • Publication number: 20240299091
Abstract: A tissue ablation system and method are provided. The system includes a catheter including a distal electrode tip having at least one tip electrode, at least one return electrode positionable independently of the tip electrode, and a voltage generator circuit electrically connected to the tip electrode and to the return electrode. The tip electrode and the return electrode include a dielectric or other non-conductive surface layer. The voltage generator circuit applies a voltage differential across the tip electrode and the return electrode such that the tip electrode and the return electrode are given opposite polarity. Tissue located between the tip electrode and the return electrode acts as a capacitive dielectric medium in which an electric field is present and is not dependent on current flow between the tip electrode and the return electrode, and the electric field induces electroporation of tissue cells in a vicinity of the distal electrode tip.

  • Patent number: 11914749
Abstract: Selective and protected release of private information/data to an incident response team (for example, public safety personnel) is disclosed. The private data (which pertains to individuals recorded as being within a premises at the time of an incident with respect to which the incident response team is responding to) may take the form of a system-generated log, which may be transferred to a first level of the public safety personnel once authenticated. Based on at least one of role, incident type, and incident severity, the first level of authenticated public safety personnel may release at least a portion of the private data to a second level of authenticated public safety personnel.

  • Publication number: 20240035176
Abstract: Disclosed is an integrally combined electrical current carrier, circulation chamber and frame (CCF) formed as a single or double part (CCF) for use in unipolar electrochemical devices. The CCF is structured to define an internal circulation chamber for circulation of electrolyte, products, and reactants as well as apertures which form flow passageways when the filter press device is assembled. Affixed on opposed surfaces of the CCFs are electrically conductive planar electroactive structures which are in electrical contact with the CCF. The circulation chamber is formed by the depth of the CCF itself between opposing electroactive structures. Multiple CCFs are assembled and compressed together to form the filter press electrolyser apparatus. When power is applied to the CCFs and electroactive structures, the reactants, once they flow into the circulation chamber with the electrolyte, undergo redox reactions to produce products that are collected and exit the electrolyser in upper flow pathways.
