A vehicle controller is configured to integratedly control the motor controller and the battery manager according to a state of the vehicle through a network. The vehicle controller calculates a first distance to empty (DTE) by using a past fuel efficiency, calculates a second DTE by using designated route driving information, and calculates a final DTE by using the first DTE and the second DTE.

The method includes calculating, b a controller, a parameter of an autoregressive moving-average (ARMA) model using past initial temperature and target temperature data of an air conditioner as an input variable of the ARMA model, and past accumulated power consumption data of the air conditioner as an output variable of the ARMA model. The controller is configured to set a current target temperature of the air conditioner and detect an indoor temperature of a vehicle, in which the air conditioner is installed. In addition, the controller is configured to substitute the current target temperature, the indoor temperature, and the parameter to the ARMA model, and predict current accumulated power consumption of the air conditioner.

    Abstract: A variable control apparatus and method of the amount of regenerative braking of a vehicle using a paddle shift are provided. The method includes sensing, by a controller, positive (+) and negative (?) shifting in a manual mode based on a signal from a shift-operating unit during regenerative braking with a drive (D) gear engaged while the vehicle travels. A regenerative braking torque map that corresponds to a selected gear is selected based on the signal from the shift-operating unit. In addition, regenerative braking of a driving motor is adjusted based on the torque value calculated from the selected regenerative braking torque map.
