    Abstract: Provided is a system for generating and validating a hybrid single-pass electronic ticket. The system includes a physical ticket having at least one Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Radio Frequency (RF) tag and a two dimensional code; at least one validator having an Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Radio Frequency (RF) transceiver and a scanner for reading the two dimensional code. The system generates the hybrid single-pass electronic ticket by printing the two dimensional code containing associated ticket information on the electronic ticket and validates the electronic ticket by reading the EAS RF tag and the two dimensional code on the ticket.
