  • Publication number: 20250250477
Abstract: Treatment fluids may be used within a subterranean formation in various treatment operations during hydrocarbon extraction processes. As an example, a method of use of a treatment fluid may include: providing a treatment fluid including a plurality of alumina nanoparticles that are surface modified with a polyamine dendrimer; introducing the treatment fluid into a subterranean formation; and interacting the alumina nanoparticles with a surface subject to corrosion.

  • Publication number: 20240286904
Abstract: Described is a method of synthesizing a corrosion inhibitor. An amine modified graphene oxide is synthesized from graphene oxide nanosheets using a bifunctional amine having a terminal amide group. Amide groups of the bifunctional amine are reacted with carboxyl groups of the graphene oxide. Aliphatic and amine modified graphene oxide is synthesized from the amine modified graphene oxide using an aliphatic acid. The aliphatic and amine modified graphene oxide includes aliphatic groups derived from a long chain aliphatic acid and amine groups derived from the bifunctional amine. Amine modified graphene oxide is synthesized by dispersing graphene oxide nanosheets in methanol, adding diethylenetriamine, and adding an amount of N,N?-Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) catalyst. Tetradecanoic and amine modified graphene nanosheets are synthesized by adding amine modified graphene to tetradecanoic acid to form a solution, then adding an amount of cobalt-salen catalyst to the solution.
